After a rather tough play, Geyikspor's Özer Demirağ got a free kick in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Göktas FK's zone, Rıfkı Nasih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Macit İstemihan came out of the goal and Rıfkı Nasih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Ziya Ülgen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vacid Öztan in the 18th minute of the match. Cengizhan Uludağ hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 33rd match minute, Geyikspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berk Hiçsönmez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vacid Öztan in the 34th minute of play forced Geyikspor's goalkeeper Ahmet Ziya Ülgen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Yakup Kadri Perinçek sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ahmet Ziya Ülgen threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Yakup Kadri Perinçek this time. The audience was convinced that Rıfkı Nasih's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Macit İstemihan was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Cengizhan Uludağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macit İstemihan having to interfere. The supporters of Göktas FK booed when Geyikspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emirşah Kayrahan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göktas FK's Macit İstemihan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Göktas FK from getting a goal against them. Macit İstemihan made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Rıfkı Nasih sent off a good shot on target. Macit İstemihan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cengizhan Uludağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes, Burhan Zekeriya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Göktas FK and the Geyikspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Göktas FK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Burhan Zekeriya hit a great ball. Macit İstemihan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rıfkı Nasih in the 87th minute. Rıfkı Nasih in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Macit İstemihan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Necati Pala scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Ziya Ülgen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Geyikspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
