In the 4th minute, Mücahit Yağın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Baha Hinoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atakent's protests and gave Baha Hinoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Baha Hinoğlu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th match minute, Atakent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Huzur to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 8 minutes, Ediz Şahinoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WOLVERHAMPTON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediz Şahinoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mücahit Yağın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efe Gazir in the 12th minute of play forced Atakent's goalkeeper Pekin Rasif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdinç Uzhan succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. When Erdinç Uzhan fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 26th minute, Ediz Şahinoğlu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atakent's Pekin Rasif didn't even have to move. The crowd rose to their feet as Atakent's Acar Nasrullah slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ahmet Gökalp Özakay. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play. Pekin Rasif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efe Gazir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Necmi Ağaverdi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efe Gazir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hulusi Mustafa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of WOLVERHAMPTON booed when Atakent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdinç Uzhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ediz Şahinoğlu, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 64 played minutes Atakent got a freekick which was hit by Namık Huzur. After a defensive mix-up in Atakent's zone, Mücahit Yağın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pekin Rasif came out of the goal and Mücahit Yağın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Efe Gazir managed to get in a good position for a shot. WOLVERHAMPTON's supporters rose to their feet, but Efe Gazir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pekin Rasif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 69th minute of the match Erdinç Uzhan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erdinç Uzhan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 69th minute, Erdinç Uzhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. WOLVERHAMPTON's Ediz Şahinoğlu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atakent. Mücahit Yağın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pekin Rasif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alpertunga Balcan during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the game, Mehdi Yonal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WOLVERHAMPTON's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atakent the free kick. In the 84th minute, Mehdi Yonal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ediz Şahinoğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pekin Rasif. Atakent's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Baha Hinoğlu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. After 92 played minutes Atakent got a freekick which was hit by Baha Hinoğlu. Efe Gazir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pekin Rasif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pekin Rasif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efe Gazir in the 95th minute of play. Hulusi Mustafa charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hulusi Mustafa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hulusi Mustafa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Pekin Rasif made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Mücahit Yağın sent off a good shot on target.
