The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Beyoglu FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murat Aytolun to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Necaettin Özdoa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aureliusz Skrzypiec to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th minute, Necaettin Özdoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliusz Skrzypiec was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 14 played minutes Beyoglu FK got a freekick which was hit by Igor Kolchenko. Yiğitcan Okutman kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes, Beyoglu FK's Aysan Onar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Şeray Tuğ came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Beyoglu FK reached it. Aureliusz Skrzypiec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Bilge Ekincioğlu in the 24th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nizam Nurkan during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Istanbul Basaksehir FK's Nizam Nurkan got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Hakkı Onur Kunter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şeray Tuğ was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Beyoglu FK's Aureliusz Skrzypiec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Beyoglu FK from getting a goal against them. After 44 played minutes Beyoglu FK got a freekick which was hit by Igor Kolchenko. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necaettin Özdoa made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Beyoglu FK's goal looked a bit too open when Necaettin Özdoa came free, but Aureliusz Skrzypiec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Igor Kolchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Istanbul Basaksehir FK's zone, Igor Kolchenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şeray Tuğ came out of the goal and Igor Kolchenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Istanbul Basaksehir FK's goalkeeper Şeray Tuğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakkı Onur Kunter. When Hakkı Onur Kunter came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Beyoglu FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Onur Kunter couldn't finish the play. Peyami Onursan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliusz Skrzypiec having to interfere. Peyami Onursan's late challenge caught a Beyoglu FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peyami Onursan helped the player get up and apologised. Peyami Onursan kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Istanbul Basaksehir FK booed when Beyoglu FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Kolchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beyoglu FK's Aureliusz Skrzypiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlker Uzsoy in the 90th minute of play. Aureliusz Skrzypiec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyami Onursan in the 91st minute of play. Beyoglu FK's Hakkı Onur Kunter got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Many of Beyoglu FK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Beyoglu FK may have spent more time on the ball, but Istanbul Basaksehir FK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
