With an all-out effort, Bozkurt's Nuratay Sungurtekin threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vatan Nafiz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ismael Larbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marvin Smith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Bozkurt's zone, Ismael Larbi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marvin Smith came out of the goal and Ismael Larbi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Gelendost's Ismael Larbi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marvin Smith narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
