An unexpectedly hard shot by Numan Öztarhan in the 16th minute of play forced Kayserispor's goalkeeper Resul Nusret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Numan Öztarhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Resul Nusret was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, RSM FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ardahan Gökekin came free, but Hurşit Suer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İsmail Hakkı Baykal in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Resul Nusret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Resul Nusret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferman Tekay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Kayserispor got a freekick which was hit by Paşa Uğurata. Resul Nusret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferman Tekay, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Numan Öztarhan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Fahrettin Tanır hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Numan Öztarhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Resul Nusret having to interfere. If İsmail Hakkı Baykal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Ardahan Gökekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, RSM FC's Şanver Yağın broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Kayserispor's Resul Nusret got control of the ball when Abdi Karan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Kayserispor booed when RSM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Selim Kızıl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Olcay Orkun Başsoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kayserispor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kayserispor's Resul Nusret proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Kayserispor from getting a goal against them. After having played for 79 minutes, İsmail Hakkı Baykal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but İsmail Hakkı Baykal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdi Karan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RSM FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kayserispor the free kick. The supporters of Kayserispor booed when RSM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Selim Kızıl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Numan Öztarhan came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Resul Nusret could save by the left post. RSM FC played a much better game than Kayserispor and deserved their victory. The Kayserispor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
