Benicio Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Resul Nusret having to interfere. Benicio Suero's late challenge caught a Kayserispor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Suero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ekmek spor's Benicio Suero got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Xove Añel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Resul Nusret. Xove Añel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Suero came free, but Resul Nusret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Maria Pfaff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olcay Orkun Başsoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Xove Añel did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Resul Nusret 33 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Olcay Orkun Başsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Maria Pfaff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Suero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Resul Nusret came out and tried to block the shot, but Benicio Suero slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 40th minute. Benicio Suero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Resul Nusret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olcay Orkun Başsoy came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Kayserispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olcay Orkun Başsoy couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olcay Orkun Başsoy made a kick off. The supporters of Ekmek spor booed when Kayserispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sezgin Akmanoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ekmek spor's Xove Añel in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kayserispor's goalie prevented a goal. Ekmek spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xove Añel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Benicio Suero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Resul Nusret was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Kayserispor's Ardahan Gökekin got a free kick in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Xove Añel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Resul Nusret was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. After 92 minutes of play, Ekmek spor's Xove Añel made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Resul Nusret was left in no man's land by his defense there! Resul Nusret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xove Añel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
