Ekmek spor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ÇalışkanSpor the free kick. The supporters of ÇalışkanSpor booed when Ekmek spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mücahit Afgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Tahsin Bağışhan from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Jan-Maria Pfaff's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pascal Semih's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Maria Pfaff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Rene Nevada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Suero in the 41st minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Benicio Suero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekmek spor and the ÇalışkanSpor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Benicio Suero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Xove Añel made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Xove Añel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Xove Añel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekmek spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xove Añel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60thth minute of the game Pascal Semih who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekmek spor's Jan-Maria Pfaff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Xove Añel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ekmek spor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Xove Añel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Nevada having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ekmek spor's zone, Pascal Semih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Maria Pfaff came out of the goal and Pascal Semih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of ÇalışkanSpor booed when Ekmek spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsmail Hakkı Raci didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Xove Añel lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Rene Nevada. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pascal Semih in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Maria Pfaff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in ÇalışkanSpor's zone, Xove Añel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Nevada came out of the goal and Xove Añel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Nevada stood somewhat misplaced when Xove Añel came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 83 minute. ÇalışkanSpor's Rene Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xove Añel in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Semih in the 91st minute of play forced Ekmek spor's goalkeeper Jan-Maria Pfaff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Xove Añel made a precise shot to the right of Rene Nevada. ÇalışkanSpor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Rene Nevada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xove Añel's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
