AliağaFk's Aktaç Tolunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgay Şakib in the 15th minute of play. After 19 played minutes, AliağaFk's Kutlu Kocakalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper İsrafil Günay came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AliağaFk reached it. Aktaç Tolunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turgay Şakib in the 27th minute of the match. İsrafil Günay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alim Mutluhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, Kutlu Kocakalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AliağaFk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutlu Kocakalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Turgay Şakib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Tolunay having to interfere. Aytaç Çavas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Aktaç Tolunay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cem Buğra's late challenge caught a Sporting Bay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cem Buğra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AliağaFk getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cem Buğra hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Kutlu Kocakalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsrafil Günay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İsrafil Günay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlu Kocakalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sporting Bay FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
