In the 14th minute, Turgay Şakib reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Altay Zeyyat. The goal made the score 1-0. Altay Zeyyat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazım Koyas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20 minutes, Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mihalgazi FK and the Sporting Bay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mihalgazi FK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu hit a great ball. Turgay Şakib who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Altay Zeyyat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 23 minutes, Remzi Binalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mihalgazi FK and the Sporting Bay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Mihalgazi FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Bay FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Altay Zeyyat, was totally fooled by Sporting Bay FC's Turgay Şakib, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Altay Zeyyat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytaç Çavas in the 29th minute of the match. Altay Zeyyat was a little too slow when Turgay Şakib got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 3-0. Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Sporting Bay FC booed when Mihalgazi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Turgay Şakib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Altay Zeyyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Peyami Üçer fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Bay FC's protests and gave Peyami Üçer a yellow card for diving instead. Turgay Şakib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altay Zeyyat having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Turgay Şakib made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgay Şakib in the 52nd minute of play forced Mihalgazi FK's goalkeeper Altay Zeyyat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altay Zeyyat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaffar Altunhan went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Sporting Bay FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Aytaç Çavas hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Sporting Bay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazım Koyas to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Gaffar Altunhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Bay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mihalgazi FK the free kick. The supporters of Mihalgazi FK booed when Sporting Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaffar Altunhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdulbaki Kuyas charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdulbaki Kuyas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batıhan Ereken got free with İsrafil Günay in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aytaç Çavas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
