After having played for 14 minutes, Tolga Semdin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolga Semdin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Batıhan Ereken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamuran Orcun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamuran Orcun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batıhan Ereken, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Abdulbaki Kuyas fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mihalgazi FK's protests and gave Abdulbaki Kuyas a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 minutes, Günalp Elmastaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mihalgazi FK and the Ulus players grew even worse after the yellow card. 25 minutes into the match, Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kamuran Orcun. Ulus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 29 minutes into the game, Batıhan Ereken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kamuran Orcun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Altay Zeyyat made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ataman Sara sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Sermet Özdel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Altay Zeyyat, 2-2. 37 minutes into the game, Mihalgazi FK's Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kamuran Orcun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ekrem Balkanlıoğlu was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Altay Zeyyat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Menderes Devlets short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Kamuran Orcun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Batıhan Ereken, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yahya Kemal Hacı during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Ulus got a freekick which was hit by Yahya Kemal Hacı. Mihalgazi FK's Altay Zeyyat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ataman Sara in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ulus's zone, Menderes Devlet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamuran Orcun came out of the goal and Menderes Devlet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihalgazi FK's Batıhan Ereken got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Altay Zeyyat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolga Semdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
