The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Anıl Berk Acun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the osmangazi and the Gönen FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. 7 minutes into the match, Gönen FK's goal looked a bit too open when Orkun İlke came free, but Ziemowit Kaczanek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orkun İlke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ziemowit Kaczanek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harun Canaydin in the 11th minute of play forced Gönen FK's goalkeeper Ziemowit Kaczanek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Fırat Tüzün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. osmangazi's Szymon Gniewek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save osmangazi from getting a goal against them. After 17 played minutes osmangazi got a freekick which was hit by Hayri Yunus. A collision led to Gönen FK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Peli Ascargorta hit a great ball. osmangazi's Szymon Gniewek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save osmangazi from getting a goal against them. Ziemowit Kaczanek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orkun İlke in the 24th minute of the match. Ahmet Danış Samih's late challenge caught a Gönen FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Danış Samih helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, osmangazi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Danış Samih to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd match minute, osmangazi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göktürk Katib to maneuver through the defense. Ferit Ongar in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Szymon Gniewek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 41st minute, Fırat Tüzün fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. İlyas Ünalan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Fırat Tüzün left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gönen FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orkun İlke was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gönen FK's Fırat Tüzün got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Orkun İlke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ziemowit Kaczanek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szymon Gniewek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferit Ongar's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Peli Ascargorta charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peli Ascargorta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gönen FK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Peli Ascargorta hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in osmangazi's zone, Fırat Tüzün stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Szymon Gniewek came out of the goal and Fırat Tüzün tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gönen FK's İlyas Ünalan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bekir Taşboğa, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Orkun İlke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziemowit Kaczanek having to interfere. Ziemowit Kaczanek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orkun İlke in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gönen FK fully deserved thier win.
