Bedirhan Yakup was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Denizlispor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Güvenç Geylanoğlu hit a great ball. Güvenç Geylanoğlu's late challenge caught a Cibali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güvenç Geylanoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Denizlispor! İlhami Kamuran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Öztürk Cebir in the 30th minute of the match. Güney Gümüşsoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlhami Kamuran having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Öztürk Cebir dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of İlhami Kamuran, 1-0. Berker Dürüst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cengizhan Suavi made the kick off in the second half. Cengizhan Suavi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Ziya Paye having to interfere. Güney Gümüşsoy scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İlhami Kamuran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. İlhami Kamuran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güney Gümüşsoy in the 61st minute of the match. İlhami Kamuran came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cibali's Güney Gümüşsoy. But to his dismay, Güney Gümüşsoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a little luck, Cibali's Yusuf Ziya Paye got control of the ball when Abdullatif Taybars tried to sneak it across the goal line. Öztürk Cebir struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. İlhami Kamuran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cibali. Öztürk Cebir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlhami Kamuran having to interfere. Fikri Eymen kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Güney Gümüşsoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güney Gümüşsoy in the 94th minute of play forced Denizlispor's goalkeeper İlhami Kamuran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cibali were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Denizlispor for a fine match.
