Samsun Fk's İldeniz Bekdil got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Salih Tanyeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cibali's zone, Battal Cüneyt Adıgün stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Ziya Paye came out of the goal and Battal Cüneyt Adıgün tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Samsun Fk got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Arif Akcebe. With his leg Yusuf Ziya Paye managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Samsun Fk's İldeniz Bekdil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. İldeniz Bekdil might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yusuf Ziya Paye. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İldeniz Bekdil ran back to his position shaking his head. Samsun Fk's Birkan Talaş got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Birkan Talaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsun Fk's supporters rose to their feet, but Birkan Talaş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusuf Ziya Paye breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mustafa Arif Akcebe scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yusuf Ziya Paye, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samsun Fk's Battal Cüneyt Adıgün got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güney Gümüşsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Öztürk Cebir, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Öztürk Cebir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yusuf Ziya Paye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Cüneyt Adıgün in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cibali's Rahman Akdal got a free kick in the 44th minute. Battal Cüneyt Adıgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İldeniz Bekdil to strike the kick off in the second half. Birkan Talaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Ziya Paye having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Samsun Fk got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Arif Akcebe. Samsun Fk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Güney Gümüşsoy scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan, making the score, 1-1. When Bedirhan Yakup fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cibali's protests and gave Bedirhan Yakup a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cibali getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bedirhan Yakup hit a great ball. Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Öztürk Cebir in the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Samsun Fk's Mustafa Arif Akcebe got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 68 played minutes Samsun Fk got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Arif Akcebe. After 69 played minutes, Cibali's Rahman Akdal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cibali reached it. After a rather tough play, Samsun Fk's Serkan Ergün got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the game, Cibali's Güney Gümüşsoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Samsun Fk's Mustafa Arif Akcebe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Abdurrezzak Öznur in the 77 minute of the game. Battal Cüneyt Adıgün struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Yusuf Ziya Paye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsun Fk. After 86 minutes Samsun Fk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rahman Akdal who took care of the corner kick. Yusuf Ziya Paye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İldeniz Bekdil, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Güney Gümüşsoy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Mehmet Ferit Tunçaslan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Although Samsun Fk had been in control for most of the match, Cibali still came away with the win.
