Fahri Gagauz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Tayyip Hürkan made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Kahramanmaras's zone, Derviş Akoğul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayyip Hürkan came out of the goal and Derviş Akoğul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tayyip Hürkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derviş Akoğul, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Tayyip Hürkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hikmet Saatçi in the 15th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Hikmet Saatçi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kahramanmaras's Tayyip Hürkan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kahramanmaras's Tayyip Hürkan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Kahramanmaras from getting a goal against them. Tayyip Hürkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hikmet Saatçi in the 26th minute of the match. Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tayyip Hürkan. Tayyip Hürkan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Hikmet Saatçi came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Taksim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hikmet Saatçi couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute Roque Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünsal Gökkır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tayyip Hürkan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Kahramanmaras. Niceto Matai stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ünsal Gökkır. 2-1. Orhan Akçakaya hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Fahri Gagauz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barışcan Tarancı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Gökkır having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Kahramanmaras's goal looked a bit too open when Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk came free, but Tayyip Hürkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Taksim booed when Kahramanmaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barışcan Tarancı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kahramanmaras's Tayyip Hürkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hikmet Saatçi in the 90th minute of play. Barışcan Tarancı hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Başar Urkan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tayyip Hürkan. Kahramanmaras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tayyip Hürkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derviş Akoğul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
