Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hikmet Saatçi started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fahri Gagauz during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fahri Gagauz hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Nephthys's Rıfkı Sanal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ünsal Gökkır but with some difficulty. Bektaş Çağlar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derviş Akoğul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 6 minutes, Hikmet Saatçi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taksim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hikmet Saatçi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Nephthys getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gencal Rukni hit a great ball. Rıfkı Sanal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Ünsal Gökkır when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Nephthys's goal looked a bit too open when Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk came free, but Bektaş Çağlar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Nephthys defense, Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bektaş Çağlar. The Nephthys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bektaş Çağlar should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Hikmet Saatçi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bektaş Çağlar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk in the 24th minute of play forced Nephthys's goalkeeper Bektaş Çağlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nephthys's Bektaş Çağlar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hikmet Saatçi in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Taksim's Bayındır Şahinter got a free kick in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Taksim's zone, Fevzi Baloğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ünsal Gökkır came out of the goal and Fevzi Baloğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bektaş Çağlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Taksim got a corner. Nephthys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Başar Urkan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Taksim's Başar Urkan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bektaş Çağlar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hikmet Saatçi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Çağlar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk in the 47th minute of play forced Nephthys's goalkeeper Bektaş Çağlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Nephthys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Taksim were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fevzi Baloğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taksim's Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bayındır Şahinter was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Taksim's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Taksim booed when Nephthys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökberk Asıf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Taksim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Fahri Gagauz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Bektaş Çağlar made a huge save. Bektaş Çağlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hikmet Saatçi in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute, Hüseyin Rahmi Değirmencioğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünsal Gökkır was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hikmet Saatçi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Çağlar having to interfere. Nephthys's Bektaş Çağlar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Nephthys from getting a goal against them. Bektaş Çağlar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fahri Gagauz in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Derviş Akoğul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bektaş Çağlar. Nephthys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derviş Akoğul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Taksim's Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hikmet Saatçi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Çağlar having to interfere. Gazanfer Özcan Soysaltürk took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bektaş Çağlar. Bektaş Çağlar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. When the final whistle sounded Taksim left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nephthys.
