Şener Dağtekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güngör Kazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Güven Yüce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birsel Boran was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If İshak Zevahir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yildirim's Şener Dağtekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güngör Kazan in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Birsel Boran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yildirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Birsel Boran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Ali Canaydin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Mehmet Ali Canaydin managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Yildirim's Necati Erakalın fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Birsel Boran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Ali Canaydin was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 24thth minute of the game İshak Zevahir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yildirim's Şener Dağtekin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes Orta got a freekick which was hit by Şahap Dilhun. Mehmet Ali Canaydin was a little too slow when Necati Erakalın got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Güngör Kazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birsel Boran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mehmet Ali Canaydin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Necati Erakalın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Orta's Şahap Dilhun got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Güngör Kazan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 47th minute, Baycan Süleymanoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Güngör Kazan made a kick off. Yildirim's Şener Dağtekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Yildirim from getting a goal against them. After 54 played minutes Orta got a freekick which was hit by İshak Zevahir. Şener Dağtekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şahap Dilhun in the 57th minute of play. İshak Zevahir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Şener Dağtekin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Yildirim's Şener Dağtekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Yildirim from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the match, Yildirim's goal looked a bit too open when Güngör Kazan came free, but Şener Dağtekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Şahap Dilhun took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Şener Dağtekin to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes into the match, Orta's goal looked a bit too open when Giray Mansız came free, but Mehmet Ali Canaydin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th play minute Baycan Süleymanoğlu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Şener Dağtekin. 1-4. Şener Dağtekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güngör Kazan in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baycan Süleymanoğlu in the 93rd minute of play forced Yildirim's goalkeeper Şener Dağtekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Orta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Orta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
