Hakan Öztunç came out of the goal and Seyhan Burçhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 minutes of play, Sakaryaspor's Seyhan Burçhan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hakan Öztunç was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hakan Öztunç made an important save on a dangerous shot by İskender Baki Asır in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Gökçek Doğanhan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sakaryaspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 24 minutes into the match, Sakaryaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Zeynel Filiz came free, but Sümer Doğanten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeynel Filiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
