Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sarayburnu's Özkan Temren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Sarayburnu's goal looked a bit too open when Ensar İslamoğlu came free, but Saruhan Yürüker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beşiktaşkkkk's supporters rose to their feet, but Thijs Pardaens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saruhan Yürüker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabin Gavra kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thijs Pardaens made a kick off. İslam Barçın was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sarayburnu's Saruhan Yürüker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürbüz Aktaç in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ensar İslamoğlu got free with Saruhan Yürüker in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
