Muhsin Denizhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cihat İlmi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When Kutlualp Kabakçı was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. In the 26th match minute, Valay gençlik 37 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedri Ungan to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Valay gençlik 37's goal looked a bit too open when Muhsin Denizhan came free, but Cihat İlmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Caglayan got a freekick which was hit by Muhsin Denizhan. Dursun Ali Özekan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Özer Barkın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dursun Ali Özekan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Caglayan's Muhsin Denizhan got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After a defensive mix-up in Caglayan's zone, Güralp Topuz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özer Barkın came out of the goal and Güralp Topuz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caglayan's Muhsin Denizhan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 59th minute, Sabit Yazıcıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Güralp Topuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özer Barkın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abayhan Uludağ hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Çelik Sidar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Çelik Sidar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cihat İlmi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After having played for 75 minutes, Muhsin Denizhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caglayan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muhsin Denizhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Çelik Sidar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özer Barkın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güralp Topuz in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Çelik Sidar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caglayan's supporters rose to their feet, but Çelik Sidar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cihat İlmi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Muhsin Denizhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cihat İlmi having to interfere. When Çelik Sidar came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Caglayan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çelik Sidar couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Caglayan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
