An unexpectedly hard shot by Serhat Yenisey in the 38th minute of play forced Beşiktaş Edirne's goalkeeper Seyfi Özaltan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nikolai Tagliaferro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ercüment Öztan was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.
