After 25 played minutes Çakıltown FK got a freekick which was hit by Arcan İstemihan. Hatayspor's Ergin Er shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bayındır Mehmet Isfahanlı but with some difficulty. Hatayspor's Şerif Perver got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Arcan İstemihan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Çakıltown FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hatayspor the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
