The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baysal Sungurtekin during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Enginalp Tetiker got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Enginalp Tetiker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saffet Cenger made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Şeray Tokel sent off a good shot on target. Enginalp Tetiker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Saffet Cenger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Şeray Tokel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taşpınar Sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şeray Tokel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yusuf Oykan charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yusuf Oykan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Taşpınar Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yusuf Oykan to maneuver through the defense. Enginalp Tetiker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Taşpınar Sk's Enginalp Tetiker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saffet Cenger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alişan Temirhan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 35 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, one of MERT-SU:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Enginalp Tetiker didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 41st minute. Taşpınar Sk's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Şeray Tokel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saffet Cenger having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MERT-SU's zone, Enginalp Tetiker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saffet Cenger came out of the goal and Enginalp Tetiker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baysal Sungurtekin to make the kick off. Saffet Cenger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derman Kabadayı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gökçen Evcimen fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MERT-SU's protests and gave Gökçen Evcimen a yellow card for diving instead. Gökçen Evcimen hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enginalp Tetiker in the 58th minute of play. Enginalp Tetiker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Taşpınar Sk's Yusuf Oykan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saffet Cenger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Enginalp Tetiker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Saffet Cenger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enginalp Tetiker, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to MERT-SU getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Atilla Kağan Tara hit a great ball. Saffet Cenger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enginalp Tetiker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Enginalp Tetiker put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saffet Cenger. When Enginalp Tetiker came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Taşpınar Sk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enginalp Tetiker couldn't finish the play. Derman Kabadayı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saffet Cenger having to interfere. MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enginalp Tetiker in the 91st minute of play.
