Spectators: 7442 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 120) MERT-SU's Eyüp Candar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Eyüp Candar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erdoğan Akartuna was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. When Eyüp Candar in the 19th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Erdoğan Akartuna kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Baysal Sungurtekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Erdoğan Akartuna made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Rubu's goalkeeper Erdoğan Akartuna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baysal Sungurtekin. With a little luck, Rubu's Erdoğan Akartuna got control of the ball when Baysal Sungurtekin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saffet Cenger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ataman Erginer in the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Baysal Sungurtekin took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Erdoğan Akartuna to make any attempt to save it. 40 minutes into the game, Beşir Horasanlı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rubu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MERT-SU the free kick. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rubu! After 44 played minutes MERT-SU got a freekick which was hit by Kahraman Erzan. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Rubu's zone, Atilla Kağan Tara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdoğan Akartuna came out of the goal and Atilla Kağan Tara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of MERT-SU booed when Rubu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beşir Horasanlı didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, MERT-SU's goal looked a bit too open when Hulki Tecimen came free, but Saffet Cenger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Okyay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saffet Cenger having to interfere. Ali Numan Dölek charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Numan Dölek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rubu's Ali Numan Dölek got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the MERT-SU players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
