Yusuf Ziya Onsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Saffet Cenger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, MERT-SU's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Oker came free, but Saffet Cenger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yusuf Ziya Onsoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Saffet Cenger made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Ali Oker fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Saffet Cenger, passed just outside the right post. In the 14th minute, Ali Oker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Saffet Cenger came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Real madrid's Ali Oker. But to his dismay, Ali Oker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Real madrid getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cafer Kahveci hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes, MERT-SU's Oğuz Mülayim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Muhittin Uysal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MERT-SU reached it. With a little luck, MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger got control of the ball when Yusuf Ziya Onsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Oker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saffet Cenger having to interfere. Ali Oker struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Saffet Cenger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real madrid. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eyüp Candar to make the kick off. MERT-SU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Baysal Sungurtekin took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Muhittin Uysal. Muhittin Uysal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 69th minute Ali Oker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saffet Cenger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MERT-SU's zone, Cafer Kahveci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saffet Cenger came out of the goal and Cafer Kahveci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Ali Oker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saffet Cenger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Real madrid booed when MERT-SU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökçen Evcimen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes, Ender Türünk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MERT-SU and the Real madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes MERT-SU got a freekick which was hit by Ender Türünk. After taking down the ball on Real madrid's corner Olgun Ongay fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Saffet Cenger quite easily take care of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real madrid had played much better football throughout.
