The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Baran Ruhi got free with Furkan Özaydın in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Baran Ruhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furkan Özaydın having to interfere. After some careless play in the Avanos defense, Ali Baran Ruhi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Furkan Özaydın. The Avanos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Furkan Özaydın should have stopped the shot. Ali Baran Ruhi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Furkan Özaydın made a huge save. Furkan Özaydın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Baran Ruhi in the 35th minute. Alim Eyüp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furkan Özaydın having to interfere. The supporters of Avanos booed when Bursaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naci Ünsal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saltuk Yurtseven in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İsmail Hakkı Özerol saved Bursaspor from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alim Eyüp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zülfü Kirmanşah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. İsmail Hakkı Özerol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bursaspor's goalkeeper İsmail Hakkı Özerol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Avanos's Kaptan Tüzmen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İsmail Hakkı Özerol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Saltuk Yurtseven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avanos's supporters rose to their feet, but Saltuk Yurtseven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İsmail Hakkı Özerol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bursaspor fully deserved thier win.
