Istinye's Sümer Şahabeddin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Istinye from getting a goal against them. Fethi Mukerrem kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Raimundo Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zafer Hinoğlu. Ilıca Spor Kulübü's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Zafer Hinoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 39 played minutes, Istinye's Selahaddin Yengi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zafer Hinoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Istinye reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Ilıca Spor Kulübü's zone, Talha Dürüst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zafer Hinoğlu came out of the goal and Talha Dürüst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th match minute, Ilıca Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fethi Mukerrem to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Istinye's Talha Dürüst got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Talha Dürüst's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Zafer Hinoğlu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Zafer Hinoğlu managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Istinye's Talha Dürüst fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Istinye's Sümer Şahabeddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhan Nedret in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Vasconcelos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zafer Hinoğlu. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. After 68 played minutes Istinye got a freekick which was hit by Basri Erbelgin. If Talha Dürüst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raimundo Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 played minutes Ilıca Spor Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Münir İzgi. Istinye's Raimundo Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Istinye's Raimundo Vasconcelos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zafer Hinoğlu. That made the score 0-5 after 89 minutes of play. Talha Dürüst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafer Hinoğlu having to interfere. A collision led to Ilıca Spor Kulübü getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Hüseyin Rahmi Ongay hit a great ball. When Talha Dürüst came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Istinye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talha Dürüst couldn't finish the play.
