Istinye's Sümer Şahabeddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melik İksir in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Hafız Safa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sümer Şahabeddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melik İksir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Sümer Şahabeddin made a huge save. Hafız Safa struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sümer Şahabeddin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe SK. A collision led to Istinye getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alparslan Atlas hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Acun Sair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Istinye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe SK the free kick. Acun Sair hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the game's 20th minute Fenerbahçe SK's Recep Çiltay took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Sümer Şahabeddin and thus the score was 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Talha Dürüst came free, but Eyüp Oğuralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hafız Safa might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sümer Şahabeddin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hafız Safa ran back to his position shaking his head. Sümer Şahabeddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafız Safa in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Hafız Safa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sümer Şahabeddin, 2-0. Ferit Yezid made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aytekin Ula however managed to control. In the 36th match minute, Istinye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basri Erbelgin to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hafız Safa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Melik İksir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenerbahçe SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 62 played minutes Istinye got a freekick which was hit by Acun Sair. After a defensive mix-up in Istinye's zone, Melik İksir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sümer Şahabeddin came out of the goal and Melik İksir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Simão Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hafız Safa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sümer Şahabeddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Tavares during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Istinye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Sümer Şahabeddin came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahçe SK's Hafız Safa. But to his dismay, Hafız Safa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Simão Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Sümer Şahabeddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melik İksir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th match minute, Istinye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basri Erbelgin to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Talha Dürüst got free with Eyüp Oğuralp in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Talha Dürüst who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Eyüp Oğuralp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 97th minute Raimundo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eyüp Oğuralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbahçe SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
