Aytunç Özerkin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Müslüm Kocay sped through uşakspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Orhan Veli Zekeriya. Müslüm Kocay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orhan Veli Zekeriya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Ali Cengiz Patlar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaid Berin in the 25th minute. Kadiköy's Ali Cengiz Patlar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Kadiköy from getting a goal against them. Orhan Veli Zekeriya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selman Kutalmış in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Kadiköy's Ali Cengiz Patlar got control of the ball when Zaid Berin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaid Berin got free with Ali Cengiz Patlar in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, uşakspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytunç Özerkin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in uşakspor's zone, Tarkan Urandu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orhan Veli Zekeriya came out of the goal and Tarkan Urandu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaid Berin to make the kick off. 3-2 became the score in the 55th minute when Zaid Berin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. uşakspor's Orhan Veli Zekeriya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save uşakspor from getting a goal against them. Orhan Veli Zekeriya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sezgin Kutalmış in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute Zaid Berin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cengiz Patlar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Müslüm Kocay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orhan Veli Zekeriya. That made the score 3-3 in the 73 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Müslüm Kocay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kadiköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Müslüm Kocay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orhan Veli Zekeriya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Kadiköy's zone, Zaid Berin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Cengiz Patlar came out of the goal and Zaid Berin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaid Berin in the 86th minute of play forced Kadiköy's goalkeeper Ali Cengiz Patlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Kadiköy got a corner. uşakspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tarkan Urandu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tarkan Urandu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but uşakspor's Orhan Veli Zekeriya did a great save. After 92 played minutes uşakspor got a freekick which was hit by Bahtiyar Yaman. In the 95th minute, uşakspor's Sezen Eraslan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sezen Eraslan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of uşakspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sezen Eraslan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 94th minute, one of uşakspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for uşakspor. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kadiköy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
