Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mehmet Edip Bican kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Mehmet Edip Bican took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ergincan Cihannur to make any attempt to save it. 2-0 became the score in the 17th minute when Songur Başaran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Catalcesme's Zikri Erbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedir Erem in the 20th minute of play. Ergincan Cihannur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Songur Başaran went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Meriç İlhan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in İstiklal Spor's zone, Mehmet Edip Bican stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ergincan Cihannur came out of the goal and Mehmet Edip Bican tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehmet Edip Bican sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akın Er charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akın Er the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Catalcesme booed when İstiklal Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akın Er didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Edip Bican in the 37th minute of play forced İstiklal Spor's goalkeeper Ergincan Cihannur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Songur Başaran took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Ergincan Cihannur to make any attempt to save it. Yalçın İsmail recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebati Baler to make the kick off. The audience held their breath when Bayhan Elmacıoğlu in the 80th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Zikri Erbay's left hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Edip Bican in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ergincan Cihannur saved İstiklal Spor from getting behind. Zikri Erbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebati Baler in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Catalcesme fully deserved thier win.
