Ergincan Cihannur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osman Nuri Akgündüz in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Pazaryeri's goal looked a bit too open when Sebati Baler came free, but Müfit İmroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osman Nuri Akgündüz to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, İstiklal Spor's goalkeeper Ergincan Cihannur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uğuralp Topuz. After 70 played minutes Pazaryeri got a freekick which was hit by Derya Songurhan. After a defensive mix-up in Pazaryeri's zone, Bedir Erem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Müfit İmroz came out of the goal and Bedir Erem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Uğuralp Topuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uğuralp Topuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ergincan Cihannur made a huge save. Uğuralp Topuz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ergincan Cihannur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
