Cesur Polatkılıç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Songur Başaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK defense, Songur Başaran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesur Polatkılıç. The Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesur Polatkılıç should have stopped the shot. If Gustaw Szkaradek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Pombal got free with Zikri Erbay in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zikri Erbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Catalcesme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgün Şafak to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Catalcesme's zone, Fabinho Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zikri Erbay came out of the goal and Fabinho Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK's Cesur Polatkılıç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Edip Bican in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Batuhan Çiftçibaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesur Polatkılıç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesur Polatkılıç was a little too slow when Mehmet Edip Bican got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-2. After having played for 65 minutes, Fabinho Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabinho Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zikri Erbay having to interfere. Zikri Erbay came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK's Fabinho Pombal. But to his dismay, Fabinho Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Pombal in the 75th minute of play forced Catalcesme's goalkeeper Zikri Erbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabinho Pombal in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zikri Erbay saved Catalcesme from getting behind. Baybars Karakan charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baybars Karakan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Catalcesme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baybars Karakan to maneuver through the defense. Berkin Abay missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 84 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Zikri Erbay right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Catalcesme's Mehmet Edip Bican slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cesur Polatkılıç. That made the score 2-3 after 85 minutes of play. Fabinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yalçın İsmail during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Catalcesme getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Yalçın İsmail hit a great ball. Catalcesme were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK FK's much stronger midfield.
