Catalcesme's Zikri Erbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsa Ongay in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute İsa Ongay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zikri Erbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goalkeeper Çağdaş Özgun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Songur Başaran. Yesilyurt's Alaaddin Akyel got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Zikri Erbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alaaddin Akyel's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Batuhan Çiftçibaşı got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Catalcesme's Batuhan Çiftçibaşı got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Çağdaş Özgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yalçın İsmail in the 65th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Mehmet Edip Bican cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Çağdaş Özgun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goal looked a bit too open when Yalçın İsmail came free, but Çağdaş Özgun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İsa Ongay in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
