Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arif Oğuz Babaoğlu started the match with the kick off. Binali Talaykut made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC MERİÇ's Ahmet Danış Kayaer. 14 minutes into the game, Ahmet İlke Helvacıoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC MERİÇ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray SK the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC MERİÇ's Ahmet İlke Helvacıoğlu got a free kick in the 14th minute. Müjdat Batüralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ertaç Hurmacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Müjdat Batüralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC MERİÇ's Anıl Arda Uzsan got a free kick in the 29th minute. It was beautiful to see Galatasaray SK's Arif Oğuz Babaoğlu in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Galatasaray SK's Müjdat Batüralp got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Müjdat Batüralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC MERİÇ's zone, Müjdat Batüralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ertaç Hurmacı came out of the goal and Müjdat Batüralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Müjdat Batüralp struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ertaç Hurmacı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray SK. Müjdat Batüralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ertaç Hurmacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Barış Yaldırak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azmi Atabek in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray SK's Müjdat Batüralp got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ertaç Hurmacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Oğuz Babaoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Azmi Atabek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd match minute, Galatasaray SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binali Talaykut to maneuver through the defense. FC MERİÇ's Azmi Atabek got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Müjdat Batüralp came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Galatasaray SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müjdat Batüralp couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute Müjdat Batüralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ertaç Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, FC MERİÇ's goal looked a bit too open when Müjdat Batüralp came free, but Ertaç Hurmacı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sefa Sabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Furkan Öztimur hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
