In the 2nd minute, Ahmet Danış Kayaer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to GaGu sPoR getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Tarık Kutlug hit a great ball. Mevlüt İhlas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ertaç Hurmacı read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, FC MERİÇ's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt İhlas came free, but Ertaç Hurmacı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ecevit Kayıboylu managed to get in a good position for a shot. GaGu sPoR's supporters rose to their feet, but Ecevit Kayıboylu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ertaç Hurmacı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sefa Sabi during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC MERİÇ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Sefa Sabi hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Veysel Mutlugün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ertaç Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ertaç Hurmacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mevlüt İhlas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Mevlüt İhlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ertaç Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Balamir Sökmensu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hilmi Olcaytu fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC MERİÇ's protests and gave Hilmi Olcaytu a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balamir Sökmensu in the 37th minute of play forced FC MERİÇ's goalkeeper Ertaç Hurmacı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pars Savni charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pars Savni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of GaGu sPoR booed when FC MERİÇ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pars Savni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Ahmet Danış Kayaer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play FC MERİÇ's Pars Savni was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Pars Savni hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mevlüt İhlas made the kick off in the second half. Azmi Atabek struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Bumin Hünkar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC MERİÇ. Ertaç Hurmacı made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Mevlüt İhlas sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 64 minutes, Azmi Atabek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MERİÇ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azmi Atabek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Azmi Atabek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mevlüt İhlas got free with Ertaç Hurmacı in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ertaç Hurmacı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mevlüt İhlas in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute, Azmi Atabek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bumin Hünkar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azmi Atabek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC MERİÇ's zone, Mevlüt İhlas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ertaç Hurmacı came out of the goal and Mevlüt İhlas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azmi Atabek in the 92nd minute of play forced GaGu sPoR's goalkeeper Bumin Hünkar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Ertaç Hurmacı managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when GaGu sPoR's Mevlüt İhlas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
