Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raik Şafakoğlu kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Fenerbahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deniz Kuyas to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Cevat Özkent, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Ahmet Vefik Gencal got a free kick in the 7th minute. Kamuran Pekdeger's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kamuran Pekdeger helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Fenerbahçe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamuran Pekdeger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Raik Şafakoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Raik Şafakoğlu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cevat Özkent. The goal made the score 2-0. Osman Sümer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıdır Horasan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 minutes, Bahri Taşdan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trabzonspor and the Fenerbahçe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bahri Taşdan hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raik Şafakoğlu in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cevat Özkent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trabzonspor's Osman Sümer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Orhan İlcan in the 44th minute of play. After 49 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Yiğitcan Ökten. Lefter Taşcan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 50th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osman Sümer. Trabzonspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Orhan İlcan made a kick off. Cevat Özkent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raik Şafakoğlu in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes, Anıl Arda Sarvan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe and the Trabzonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tansu Paşa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe's zone, Tansu Paşa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cevat Özkent came out of the goal and Tansu Paşa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ali Orhan İlcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Raik Şafakoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trabzonspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 71st minute Ali Orhan İlcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osman Sümer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Raik Şafakoğlu came free, but Cevat Özkent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hıdır Horasan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bahri Taşdan hit a great ball. If Ali Orhan İlcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Orhan İlcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Osman Sümer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Devlet Öveç kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Hıdır Horasan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osman Sümer. Hıdır Horasan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1.
