In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rumelikavagi's goalkeeper Serkan Uzhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ata Özel scored 1-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serkan Uzhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Kaptan Malkoç came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Aslan Gücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaptan Malkoç couldn't finish the play. Yaşar Masum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güray Ahi in the 97th minute of the match. The Aslan Gücü support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
