Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Akgün Guftar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boğaç Namal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Işık Akasoy fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Güneysinir's protests and gave Işık Akasoy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gayrettepe booed when Güneysinir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Işık Akasoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boğaç Namal in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akgün Guftar in the 9th minute of play forced Güneysinir's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Bengisoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akgün Guftar hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Boğaç Namal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Başar Sabi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 36 minutes, Behlül Karanalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gayrettepe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Behlül Karanalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Behlül Karanalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Bektaş Veli Bengisoy made a huge save. Behlül Karanalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bektaş Veli Bengisoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Güneysinir's goal looked a bit too open when Akgün Guftar came free, but Bektaş Veli Bengisoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Behlül Karanalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Veli Bengisoy having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Başar Sabi to strike the kick off in the second half. Başar Sabi might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Fikret Dilşah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Başar Sabi ran back to his position shaking his head. Boğaç Namal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Boğaç Namal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Güneysinir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 71st minute, Kamil Buyrukalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes Güneysinir got a freekick which was hit by Harun Yordam. Behlül Karanalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Veli Bengisoy having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Güneysinir's zone, Behlül Karanalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bektaş Veli Bengisoy came out of the goal and Behlül Karanalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Boğaç Namal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Boğaç Namal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Güneysinir's Kaan Özsevi got a free kick in the 96th minute. After 97 played minutes, Gayrettepe's Arif Memduh Belge shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Bengisoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gayrettepe reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Güneysinir walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
