Ata Özel scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uğur Yücesoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Aslan Gücü's Uğur Yücesoy threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Humberto Fero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Uğur Yücesoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaptan Malkoç in the 12th minute of the match. Peker Sinan kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Göztepe SK's Uğur Yücesoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Göztepe SK from getting a goal against them. Ata Özel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Uğur Yücesoy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Uğur Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaptan Malkoç in the 21st minute of play. Yaşar Masum came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Göztepe SK's Korkutalp Aktay. But to his dismay, Korkutalp Aktay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Yaşar Masum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korkutalp Aktay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Aslan Gücü's Ata Özel made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uğur Yücesoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Göztepe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Fero came free, but Uğur Yücesoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Atıf Yıldızhan came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Göztepe SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atıf Yıldızhan couldn't finish the play.

Uğur Yücesoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ata Özel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Göztepe SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ata Özel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. Uğur Yücesoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ata Özel went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-4 was the resulting score. Aslan Gücü were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Göztepe SK for a fine match.
