HOCCAAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. After 4 played minutes HOCCAAN got a freekick which was hit by Nuratay Şah. A collision led to HOCCAAN getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Emir Umut hit a great ball. Şükrü Samil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Arif Kalgay, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, HOCCAAN's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Arif Kalgay came free, but Şükrü Samil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taha Attar took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şükrü Samil. Şükrü Samil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Taha Attar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Şükrü Samil made a huge save. After having played for 24 minutes, Vahit Nevruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HOCCAAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vahit Nevruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Şadi Özpinar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kartal Baykara's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Taha Attar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Şükrü Samil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taha Attar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Şükrü Samil firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 33 minutes, Mustafa Arif Kalgay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the HOCCAAN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Mustafa Arif Kalgay got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Çağrı Sarim came free, but Şadi Özpinar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Şükrü Samil had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Necip Fazıl Dersu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Şükrü Samil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taha Attar in the 68th minute of the match. HOCCAAN's Şükrü Samil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taha Attar in the 69th minute of play. Şükrü Samil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Arif Kalgay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Taha Attar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Taha Attar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şükrü Samil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes into the match, HOCCAAN's goal looked a bit too open when Taha Attar came free, but Şükrü Samil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The HOCCAAN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HOCCAAN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
