The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yavuz Baykal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mümtazer Köken having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Baykal in the 17th minute of play forced Ömerli's goalkeeper Mümtazer Köken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Eser Ülkümen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ömerli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viransehir FK the free kick. Viransehir FK's Dilmen Usbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İskender Kuman in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Yavuz Baykal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ömerli's Mümtazer Köken. Mümtazer Köken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Abdulhamit Yiğiter in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ömerli's Eser Ülkümen. If Pekin Oğuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İskender Kuman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dilmen Usbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Viransehir FK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pekin Oğuralp hit a great ball. The supporters of Viransehir FK booed when Ömerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peker Ispartalı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viransehir FK's Yavuz Baykal got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. İskender Kuman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ömerli's zone, Çetin Kocaalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mümtazer Köken came out of the goal and Çetin Kocaalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, İskender Kuman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İskender Kuman during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Ömerli got a freekick which was hit by İskender Kuman. Ömerli's Mümtazer Köken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çetin Kocaalp in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İskender Kuman to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Eser Ülkümen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Viransehir FK's Özal Sözmen got a free kick in the 74th minute. Yavuz Baykal might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mümtazer Köken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yavuz Baykal ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burhan Okyay during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Viransehir FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
