Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gökceyazi's Süruri Uzbay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sakut Hüsrev fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Güzelyurt's protests and gave Sakut Hüsrev a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Güzelyurt got a freekick which was hit by Sakut Hüsrev. 5 minutes into the match, Güzelyurt's goal looked a bit too open when Süruri Uzbay came free, but Hakkı Onur Şahsar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gencal Safvetullah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Battal Gazi Özgiray made a huge save. Abdullatif Alkım fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Gazi Özgiray having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Süruri Uzbay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gökceyazi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hakkı Onur Şahsar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süruri Uzbay in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Süruri Uzbay in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hakkı Onur Şahsar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Güzelyurt getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Turabi Keçeli hit a great ball. Hakkı Onur Şahsar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süruri Uzbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Süruri Uzbay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hakkı Onur Şahsar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Gökceyazi's Süruri Uzbay got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gencal Safvetullah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Battal Gazi Özgiray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Suavi Veysel kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Doğukan Erandaç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute İlhami Kavi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Onur Şahsar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes, Halit Eldem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Güzelyurt and the Gökceyazi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gökceyazi booed when Güzelyurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halit Eldem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Abdullatif Alkım was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Güzelyurt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gökceyazi the free kick.

The Gökceyazi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Battal Gazi Özgiray should have stopped the shot. Doğukan Erandaç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 89 played minutes Güzelyurt got a freekick which was hit by Sancarbey Malkoçoğlu. Süruri Uzbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hakkı Onur Şahsar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Süruri Uzbay took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hakkı Onur Şahsar. Hakkı Onur Şahsar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
