Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Güzelyurt's Abdullatif Alkım started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Nelit FC's zone, Abdullatif Alkım stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edip Gündoğan came out of the goal and Abdullatif Alkım tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencal Safvetullah in the 13th minute of play forced Nelit FC's goalkeeper Edip Gündoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edip Gündoğan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdullatif Alkım in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute Kadir Usare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Onur Şahsar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nelit FC's Mürsel Dindar got a free kick in the 20th minute. Abay Okbaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kadir Usare came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Nelit FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kadir Usare couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Güzelyurt's Halit Eldem got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bektaş Veli Uslu got free with Hakkı Onur Şahsar in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdullatif Alkım took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edip Gündoğan. Edip Gündoğan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Görkem Mümtaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Hakkı Onur Şahsar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakkı Onur Şahsar was a little too slow when Abay Okbaş got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-1. Kadir Usare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Güzelyurt's goalkeeper Hakkı Onur Şahsar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hakkı Onur Şahsar was a little too slow when Abay Okbaş got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nelit FC's Edip Gündoğan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Nelit FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 66 minutes, Abay Okbaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nelit FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abay Okbaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Halit Eldem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güzelyurt's Hakkı Onur Şahsar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abay Okbaş in the 69th minute of play. Edip Gündoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halit Eldem, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Güzelyurt's zone, Abay Okbaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakkı Onur Şahsar came out of the goal and Abay Okbaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Güney Tankoç hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Nelit FC got a freekick which was hit by Öztürk Cenker. The long shot by Turabi Keçeli in the 78th minute really tested Edip Gündoğan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Abay Okbaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Nelit FC booed when Güzelyurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erhun Durali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Güney Tankoç took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hakkı Onur Şahsar. Güzelyurt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 84th minute, Erhun Durali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Nelit FC's Abay Okbaş broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hakkı Onur Şahsar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abay Okbaş in the 90th minute of play. Abay Okbaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hakkı Onur Şahsar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Abay Okbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Onur Şahsar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelit FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
