Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruhi Bürgehan to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Zekai Ortaç got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadri Satı in the 68th minute of play forced Ikitelli's goalkeeper Ediz Altıncığlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilgaz Uçkun hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Özal Şahinalp could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Sarp Birtan however easily saved by the left post.
