Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Eser Tayman made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eser Tayman in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kahraman Alatay saved MERDO from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Elazig FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Özbek Sökmensu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Elazig FK's Hayyam Denizhan got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eser Tayman in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kahraman Alatay saved MERDO from getting behind. Eser Tayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eser Tayman in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kahraman Alatay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Reha Serhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28th play minutes Özbek Sökmensu shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu and just under the crossbar into goal. 31 minutes into the game, Ahmet Reha Serhan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu. Ahmet Reha Serhan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Elazig FK's Murathan Bektaş quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Seyit Yorgun, made in the 36th minute of the game. After having played for 38 minutes, Hayyam Denizhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elazig FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayyam Denizhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind MERDO's goalkeeper Kahraman Alatay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Elazig FK's Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu got control of the ball when Özbek Sökmensu tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Reha Serhan was the one to do the kick off. If Hayyam Denizhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kahraman Alatay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayyam Denizhan in the 58th minute of the match. Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Reha Serhan in the 67th minute of play. Eser Tayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hayyam Denizhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of MERDO booed when Elazig FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Polat Tanak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, MERDO's Ahmet Reha Serhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Osman Elmacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özbek Sökmensu in the 93rd minute of play. The MERDO support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
