To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Erenay Eğriöz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Göztepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erenay Eğriöz couldn't finish the play. Arif Memduh Tanfer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bayındır Mehmet Nurbaki went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bayındır Mehmet Nurbaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Memduh Tanfer having to interfere. Adalar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sancarbey Yalınay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haldun Bayır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murathan Kadirsah in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Göztepe's goalkeeper Haldun Bayır had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sancarbey Yalınay. In the 29thth minute of the game Bayındır Mehmet Nurbaki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adalar's Arif Memduh Tanfer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Teoman Tatu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Baki Gulabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Peyami Sevgen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Baturhan Nebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Memduh Tanfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bayındır Mehmet Nurbaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Memduh Tanfer having to interfere. The supporters of Göztepe booed when Adalar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murathan Kadirsah didn't get a good kick on the ball.
