The crowd rose to their feet as Denizlispor's Ahmet Koralp İzgü slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arif Memduh Tanfer. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Koralp İzgü was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Ahmet Koralp İzgü managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denizlispor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Koralp İzgü was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Habib Akgüneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murathan Kadirsah in the 59th minute of the match. Habib Akgüneş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murathan Kadirsah's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. If Murathan Kadirsah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Koralp İzgü's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Memduh Tanfer was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Sancarbey Yalınay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Adalar booed when Denizlispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlkan Davutoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yusuf Bahadır İğdemir kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Çelebi Yalçın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arif Memduh Tanfer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Murathan Kadirsah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Denizlispor's Habib Akgüneş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 91 minutes, Gökmen Şafakgün mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adalar and the Denizlispor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
