Suphi Demirkan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Abdülhak Cerit made a huge save. In the 11th minute Oktay Naim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Kerem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Wlodzimierz Nocny made a precise shot to the right of Abdülhak Cerit. Galatasaray SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suphi Demirkan in the 18th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Abdülhak Cerit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as AKATSUKİ's Karahan Karakaya slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdülhak Cerit. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. After 22 played minutes Galatasaray SK got a freekick which was hit by Şahap Adaş. 24 minutes into the game, AKATSUKİ's Wlodzimierz Nocny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdülhak Cerit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Korcan Akıncıbeyoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Mehmet Kerem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oktay Naim in the 28th minute of play. When AKATSUKİ's Wlodzimierz Nocny in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Galatasaray SK's Abdülhak Cerit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pes Doga in the 35th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Pes Doga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abdülhak Cerit. Pes Doga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Galatasaray SK's Abdülhak Cerit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray SK from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Wlodzimierz Nocny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AKATSUKİ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 59 minutes, Suphi Demirkan made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray SK's Abdülhak Cerit tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdülhak Cerit was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abdülhak Cerit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Nocny, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Oktay Naim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Kerem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute, Wlodzimierz Nocny ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdülhak Cerit was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. In the 93rd minute, Şahap Adaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Kudret Bahçıvan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AKATSUKİ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kudret Bahçıvan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Suphi Demirkan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdülhak Cerit having to make a save. AKATSUKİ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
