When Yağızalp Üçok fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Şıkır Team's protests and gave Yağızalp Üçok a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Şıkır Team's Hamdi Özgurel got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hazım Umuralp hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Burç Rusuhi hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gazanfer Özcan Serimer in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Şıkır Team's Mustafa Birol Tekdoğan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gürhan Ramazanoğulları. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Hüseyin Cahit Çırakoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şamil Ilıcak having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürhan Ramazanoğulları saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay in the 25th minute of the match. Cevdet Ergazi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hazım Umuralp in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şamil Ilıcak saved Şıkır Team from getting behind. A collision led to Turco getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Arif Memduh Tayuk hit a great ball. When Mithat Çelik came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Şıkır Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mithat Çelik couldn't finish the play. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hazım Umuralp was the one to do the kick off. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazanfer Özcan Serimer in the 51st minute of play. Hazım Umuralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Şamil Ilıcak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Turco booed when Şıkır Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gazanfer Özcan Serimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arcan As's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şamil Ilıcak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Şıkır Team's goal looked a bit too open when Arcan As came free, but Şamil Ilıcak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Turco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Atıf Erçetin to maneuver through the defense. Turco's Gürhan Ramazanoğulları played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Şıkır Team booed when Turco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cumali Erüstün didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay in the 78th minute of play. Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gürhan Ramazanoğulları. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Kadri Kutlubay ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Turco booed when Şıkır Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gazanfer Özcan Serimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th match minute, Turco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Atıf Erçetin to maneuver through the defense. Mithat Çelik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gazanfer Özcan Serimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Yağızalp Üçok cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gürhan Ramazanoğulları was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şıkır Team walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
