Sermet Bakırhan charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sermet Bakırhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Rafettin Metiner fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Şile's protests and gave Rafettin Metiner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Rafettin Metiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Bayrakli's goalkeeper Behlül Ayhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sermet Bakırhan. Batıray Ocak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Behlül Ayhan made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Celal Şikel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Şile booed when Bayrakli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feyyaz Maksum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bayrakli's zone, Ümit İspinoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Behlül Ayhan came out of the goal and Ümit İspinoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Celal Şikel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Şile's Ekber Gülle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Şile's Ekber Gülle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Arif Haymanalı in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Ahmet Arif Haymanalı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Şile's Buğra Ağar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 44 minutes into the game, Şile's Batıray Ocak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Behlül Ayhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çetin Yurtseven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Necaettin Seyhun hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Mustafa Numan Sanih came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ekber Gülle could save by the left post. Çetin Yurtseven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekber Gülle having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Celal Şikel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekber Gülle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Arif Haymanalı hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ahmet Arif Haymanalı kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hasan Ali Saltar in the 67th minute of play forced Bayrakli's goalkeeper Behlül Ayhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buğra Ağar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Behlül Ayhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ümit İspinoz in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Behlül Ayhan saved Bayrakli from getting behind. Ekber Gülle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çetin Yurtseven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Şile's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mustafa Numan Sanih fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 83rd minute Ümit İspinoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behlül Ayhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Şile had won after a very even match.
