Ogün Özerdinc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Lia having to make a save. Ogün Özerdinc scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Lia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ogün Özerdincs short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Benjamin Lia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Çelikan Refettin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio-André Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Yeniçeri akademi FK's Benjamin Lia got control of the ball when Ogün Özerdinc tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ogün Özerdinc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Van Spor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Yeniçeri akademi FK's zone, Bedih İskenderoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Lia came out of the goal and Bedih İskenderoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Bedih İskenderoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Ogün Özerdinc notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Yeniçeri akademi FK's Benjamin Lia. Benjamin Lia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 minutes, Dursun Ali Bayraktar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yeniçeri akademi FK and the Van Spor players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Van Spor booed when Yeniçeri akademi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dursun Ali Bayraktar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yeniçeri akademi FK's Benjamin Lia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedih İskenderoğlu in the 39th minute of play. Benjamin Lia came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Van Spor's Bedih İskenderoğlu. But to his dismay, Bedih İskenderoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 42nd minute, İzzettin Geylan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Benjamin Lia managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Van Spor's Ogün Özerdinc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ogün Özerdinc made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Çelikan Refettin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yeniçeri akademi FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Van Spor the free kick. Bedih İskenderoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yeniçeri akademi FK's Benjamin Lia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedih İskenderoğlu in the 55th minute of play. Ogün Özerdinc took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Lia. Benjamin Lia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Fikret Uluğ struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benjamin Lia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Van Spor. The audience was convinced that Bedih İskenderoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Lia was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Çelikan Refettin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Lia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ogün Özerdinc in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Ogün Özerdinc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Lia. Yeniçeri akademi FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ogün Özerdinc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 7-0 became the score in the 76th minute when Ogün Özerdinc elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ogün Özerdinc might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Lia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ogün Özerdinc ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Lia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ogün Özerdinc in the 80th minute of the match. Ogün Özerdinc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Lia having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ogün Özerdinc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Lia was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Benjamin Lia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedih İskenderoğlu in the 89th minute of the match. Benjamin Lia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ogün Özerdinc's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Bedih İskenderoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benjamin Lia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Yeniçeri akademi FK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Anıl Ozan Demirci hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Yeniçeri akademi FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ogün Özerdinc came free, but Benjamin Lia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ogün Özerdinc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Van Spor fully deserved thier win.
